本教學以PhotoImpact 10為範例
步驟：
1.首先開啟要修改的圖片
2.打開右邊的面板，叫出圖層管理員
3.對基底影像按右鍵再製兩張 (此時共有三張)
4.在這邊必須要有圖層的概念，所謂圖層就是圖片一張一張的疊上去
所以目前我們總共有三個圖層，從最上方看下去為第一張照片
再下去一張為第二張，以此類推，最底下一張為最後一張，也就是基底圖層
接下來我們要對基底圖層做高斯模糊特效
在做之前我們必須先把上面兩個圖層隱藏，否則會被遮住而看不到效果
先把上面兩張圖層的眼睛圖示取消，如此才可看到第三張
5.點選基底影像，在上方工具列選「相片」→「模糊」→「高斯模糊」
點選「選項」可以自定模糊的程度，這邊可以隨個人喜好調整，Alan的建議值為14
6.打開第二張圖層，叫出眼睛圖示，以便檢視
合併選項選擇「強光」，透明度依個人感覺調整，Alan建議50%
若是希望照片能更朦朧一點這邊也可以考慮「柔光」
7.打開第一張圖層，合併選項選「倒數相乘」，透明度依個人感覺調整，Alan建議70%
